Prahas Potting Soil is a pre-blended, complete growing medium. It contains cocopeat for structure, vermicompost for nutrition and biology, cow manure compost for slow-release feeding, and neem flakes for built-in pest protection. It is ready to use directly from the bag — no mixing required.

Container Planting

01
Fill and Plant Directly

Fill your container with Prahas Potting Soil, leaving 3–4cm from the rim. Make a planting hole, place your plant or seedling, firm the soil gently around the roots, and water thoroughly. The mix is pre-balanced — no additional inputs are needed at planting.

Pro Tip: Water the mix thoroughly before planting and allow it to drain. Starting with an evenly moist mix gives roots the best first contact with the growing medium.

02
Grow Bags

Fill grow bags completely with Prahas Potting Soil. The mix's cocopeat component maintains aeration even in large bags where compaction is common. For 15–20 litre grow bags used for tomatoes, brinjal, or capsicum, the mix provides sufficient nutrition for the first 6–8 weeks without supplementation.

Raised Beds & Balconies

03
As a Complete Raised Bed Fill

For raised beds and balcony planters, fill entirely with Prahas Potting Soil or blend with up to 30% good quality garden soil if available. The mix is lightweight — ideal for balcony weight limits — while being nutritionally complete for growing vegetables, herbs, and flowers.

04
Mid-Season Supplementation

After 6–8 weeks, top dress with a handful of vermicompost per pot and water in. A fortnightly seaweed extract foliar spray maintains vigour through the growing season. The base nutrition in Prahas Potting Soil lasts 2–3 months — after that, light supplementation keeps plants at their best.

Note: Neem flakes are already incorporated into the mix at the correct preventive rate. No additional neem application is needed for the first 2 months.
