Prahas Potting Soil is safe, 100% Natural, and ready to use. These notes ensure you get the results the mix is capable of delivering.
The nutrition level in Prahas Potting Soil is slightly high for germination-stage seedlings. Very young roots can be sensitive to the vermicompost and cow manure content. Use pure cocopeat or an 80:20 cocopeat-vermicompost mix for seed trays. Move seedlings to Prahas Potting Soil once they have their first true leaves.
Fill containers loosely and water in — do not press or compact the mix. Compressing reduces the aeration that makes this mix effective. After the first watering, the mix will settle naturally to the correct density. Top up with fresh mix if needed after settling.
The cocopeat in the mix retains water efficiently. Overwatering is the most common mistake with coir-based mixes. Check moisture at 3–4cm depth before watering. If still moist, wait. In cooler weather or low light, water frequency may need to reduce significantly.
After a full growing season, potting mix becomes depleted and the cocopeat fibres break down. Annual repotting with fresh Prahas Potting Soil maintains optimal growing conditions. Do not continue using heavily depleted mix for more than one season — the investment in fresh mix pays dividends in plant performance.
Cacti and succulents need very sharp drainage. Prahas Potting Soil retains too much moisture for these plants at full strength. Mix with 30–40% coarse sand or perlite before use for succulents and cacti.
Every ingredient in Prahas Potting Soil is 100% Natural and non-toxic. It is food-safe and suitable for growing edible plants. No protective equipment is needed for normal handling. Children and pets are safe around the mix.
