Cocopeat is safe, 100% Natural, and non-toxic. These notes exist to help you use it correctly so it delivers the results it is capable of.
Cocopeat contains no nutrients. Plants grown in pure cocopeat beyond the seedling stage will show deficiency symptoms. Always combine with vermicompost, cow manure, or a balanced fertiliser.
Dry compressed cocopeat can pull moisture away from plant roots. Always rehydrate completely before incorporating into a potting mix or placing near plant roots.
Prahas Cocopeat is washed and buffered, but if you notice leaf tip burn in salt-sensitive plants, flush containers with plain water monthly.
Cocopeat retains water well — you need to water less than with a purely soil-based mix. Check moisture at 3–4 cm depth before watering.
Use cocopeat as 20–30% of total volume in outdoor beds. Using too much can make soil too light and dry out too fast in Indian summer heat.
Cocopeat is non-toxic to humans, animals, and beneficial soil organisms. It is widely used in food-safe growing. No protective equipment is needed for normal handling.
