Seaweed extract is safe and 100% Natural. These notes exist because it is a concentrated product — correct dilution and timing make the difference between excellent results and disappointment.
Seaweed extract at full concentration will cause leaf burn, root damage, and harm to beneficial soil microorganisms. Always dilute to the recommended ratio. A general rule: when uncertain, dilute more rather than less.
Foliar applications in direct afternoon sun will evaporate before the leaves can absorb the solution. The concentrated residue can also cause lens-effect burn on leaves. Always apply in early morning or evening.
Seaweed contains plant hormones. Over-application can cause excessive vegetative growth at the expense of flowering and fruiting. Stick to the recommended frequency. Plants respond best to consistent low doses rather than heavy irregular applications.
The active compounds in seaweed extract degrade rapidly when exposed to heat and UV light. Store in a cool, dark place with the lid tightly sealed. Do not leave the bottle in direct sunlight or in a hot car. Once diluted, use the solution within 24 hours.
Seaweed extract does not provide significant NPK nutrition. It stimulates plant growth but cannot replace vermicompost, cow manure, or other nutrition sources. Use it alongside a complete soil nutrition programme, not instead of one.
Seaweed extract at recommended dilutions is non-toxic to humans, animals, pollinators, and beneficial soil organisms. It is certified safe for use on food crops right up to harvest. No protective equipment is required for normal use.
